2008 Delaware State Enduro

2nd Annual C&D Canal Clean-Up
March 8-9, 2008

The Delaware Enduro Riders, with help from the Delaware Jeep Association, held another very successful clean-up weekend along the banks of the C&D Canal. Torrential rains hampered the enthusiasm on Saturday, but Sunday was crisp and clear, allowing the groups to complete the job of cleaning up both sides of the canal from the Delaware River to the Maryland state line. The job was not nearly as difficult as last year, but the clubs still managed to fill four thirty-cubic yard dumpsters with trash, making the area much more attractive for all users.

Craig Rhodes and Mary Mort of Delaware Fish & Wildlife very kindly provided a barbecue lunch for all the workers. Thanks Craig & Mary! The burgers and hotdogs were delicious and greatly appreciated by all.
